Steeped in local history, the Salutation Inn is a traditional Lake District pub with oak beamed low ceilings, local stonework, roaring open fires, home cooked food and excellent real ales.

Situated in the quiet village of Threlkeld, just off the A66, with Lakeland fell views all around this is an ideal base for exploring the Northern Lake District, with Keswick (4 miles) and Thirlmere (6 miles) only a short drive away. Ullswater Ambleside and the Buttermere Valley are all easily accessible from the Salutation.

Under the new enthusiastic managership of the Robson family from 20th December 2006, the Salutation Inn is committed to serving great food and drink together with excellent en-suite guest accommodation with wonderful views. The perfect place to unwind and relax for a while after a hard days on the Lakeland Fells.

As well as the cozy bar with regular and guest real ales and an extensive wine list, we also have a large games room with pool table, darts and TV.

We have ample car parking at the side and rear of the Inn, together with a peaceful decked beer garden with patio heaters and wonderful views.
